JASON Garrity scored a 12-point maximum as Coventry defeated Leicester 54-36 to move back into second place in the Elite League table.
Garrity warmed up for the Premier League Riders’ Championship with four wins out of four, whilst Bees skipper Chris Harris piled up 15+2 from six rides on the eve of the Grand Prix Challenge.
Harris also delighted home fans with a last-bend effort to get the better of Lions captain Jason Doyle in the final race of the night.
He said: “I chased him for four laps and I think he just moved off the dirt-line a bit too much, I saw it and thought I’d have a go, and I just got round!
“It was a good win despite a few mishaps, and we’re not fussed who we get in the play-offs - it doesn’t really matter, we can beat anyone. Obviously it’s a big loss to be without Joonas (Kylmakorpi), but hopefully we can cover that.”
